Pre-Defined Searches

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

Pre-Defined searches simplify the searching process because they do require the user to generate the query syntax.  With pre-defined searches you only need to type in the search string. Examples of pre-defined searches may include Search by Parcel Number, Search by Plat or Search by Owner Name.

Using a Pre-Defined Search

Example: Search by Parcel:

1.Click the Search button search-buttonon the toolbar.

2.Select the Parcel tab from the Search dialog box.

3.In the text box enter all or part of a parcel number.

4.Click the Run Search button.

5.The Results table will display the results and the map will automatically zoom to the features returned by the search.

Features, when selected, will be outlined in the map.

If the search results with a single feature selection you will be zoomed to that feature and the Single Feature window will open.

If the search results in multiple feature selections you will be zoomed to the extent of the features and the results table will open.
